[...] A few weeks ago, when I (neatly) blended my Google AdSense 336×280 block a couple of paragraphs down the post content I thought I did a smart job! In this post, he has beautifully described how Twitter is being used by various people to market their products, boost traffic to their websites, exchanging thoughts, searching for opportunities, and at last Social networking. In my opinion, it has followed the path of blogs. Blogs were not intended to be a money making platform, instead a live journal or something on similar lines. But guess what? Whenever, and wherever people see an opportunity to encash, they’ll rush. Of late, high profile bloggers such as Shoemoney, Darren Rowse etc have been blogging about how Twitter has affected them (positively), and I guess that’s one of the reason we see more and more bloggers trying to extract some traffic from twitter, as the comments on the post reflect.
@Sire, you may be talking about TwitterUpdater plugin that I am using as well... However, sometimes this little thingie misbehaves - say only one out of 6 or 7 times may be - and do not update Twitter. However, it is definitely a very handy plugin

I use a plugin that automatically tweets my blog posts, because I am to slack to do it myself. I've only ever once tweeted an affiliate link and was sorry that I did. I think that if I was constantly being bombarded by affiliate links I would drop whoever was doing it.
