I used it successfully for banner ads for more than two years and I was pretty happy with it. However, in my niche (MMO) suddenly there was huge surge of publishers and I thought of outsourcing that part to buysellads (they take 25% cut). I still use OIO publisher for paid reviews as you can see in our advertise with DollarShower page. OIO is an amazing piece for multi-purpose, not just for banner advertising.

Also, thanks for the tips on the plugin that you use for the comments. I noticed that you don’t use OIO Publisher on your site – but something else. Did you used to use it?

Jenny,
1) As far as I know, there’s no straight forward package option but instead of creating one ad region of 6 banners, you could think of a 2 block region and 4 blocks one adjascent to it so that you can price them differently to benefit your volume buyer.

2) Theme customization is done via templates. Ideally, since most part of the content is white, you just need to customize your header and footer template on purchase, payment pages. To do this, you need to locate your ‘templates’ directory under the oiopublisher plugin folder and modify the one or more of style.css, header.tpl, footer.tpl etc.

By the way, there’s plenty of help available at the oiopublisher.com forums.

As for the keyword linking question in your other comment, it’s done via the amazing MaxBlogPress Ninja plugin. Most of the affiliate money I generate is via that plugin

Hi Ajith,

I have a few questions about OIO Publisher as I am getting ready to launch it on my site.

Do you know of a tutorial that walks you through on how to:

1. Make a banner package (for example, if an advertiser wants to buy more than 1 position – give them a group package deal for buying 3 positions).
2. change your theme, so that it is customized to your site and isn’t the OIO Publisher default theme.

Is there a way to track (get the stats of) your default ads? I would like to know how often those are being clicked on as well.

Do you have any tutorials on your website?

I’ve always been a bit skeptical of rebates like this, but this is a great deal. Amazingly, he processed my rebate so quickly and sent via Paypal, and I transferred it directly to my bank account. It was actually in my account before the payment for the plugin even went through! Awesome.
