Your Wordpress blog has a great feature called Update Services that basically alert a number of blog directories, content aggregators and social media sites whenever your update your blog. This is an extremely useful stuff as your new posts will be reaching millions of web users worldwide much faster than the search engine (search engines spiders will take some more time to crawl & index) route.

By default, Wordpress provides the update service provided by Ping-O-Matic which is a very reliable service. Article spinning is not a new concept – it has been around there for a couple of years now. For the sake of who are not aware of the same and want to promote their blogs and improve traffic overnight, I am writing about the same.

What is article spinning?

Article spinning basically refers to the process of submitting an article and 100s of its variants to a number of directories or blogs in one shot so that a large number of references or backlinks are created to your blog. I had an excellent run with my FREE Google AdWords campaign during the first two weeks since the launch of this blog. As I mentioned sometime back, when I opted HostMonster.com as my hosting provider, I had received $50 in AdWords credit. I utilized that credit along with a $5 sign up charge to create the following traffic figures via Google AdWords alone over two weeks.

Number of times my ad was displayed by Google.com Search & Adsense: 456,134
