The Black hat SEO = Dig Your Own Grave!

Black hat SEO or spamdexing get penalized by GoogleIn Feb 2006, BMW’s official site was blacklisted by Google for indulging in unethical SEO activities that manipulated the page ranking system. Getting blacklisted by Google would mean that your site’s PR suddenly drops to zero and no more pages from your site will be indexed by Google basically denying your site’s search visibility.

Black hat SEO (spamdexing) is the collective term to describe such bad SEO activities. These methods, for sure, bring in immediate visibility to your website or blog but are almost certain to be banned by Google sooner or later. In this post, I shall try to explain the SEO activities that are considered wrong by the search engines and in particular Google.

The Ten-Minute Blog Post SEO before you publish!

Any website receives human visits from three major traffic categories – direct visits, referral visits and search engine visits. Google Webmaster Tools to check you blog posts visibility!

Google Webmaster Tools is one of the very first services that every blogger and webmaster should sign up for, as soon as the blog is launched! However, most people do not give enough importance to the webmaster tools once the sitemap is submitted and robot.txt verified.

Let me explain here a couple of important pages in the Google Webmaster Tools that provide insights into the popularity and visibility of your content (blog posts, pages, other services etc).
