For the past 10 days or so, I have been playing around with some of my old posts on this blog. As a matter of fact, some good old articles from the initial days have not been read by many. The original idea was to repackage them well there by improving the visibility. But I was taken by surprise that in addition to improved clicks from linked pages, I was getting some search engine traffic as well!

BackLinkWatch.com and Google Webmaster Tools for all backlinks

Update Services or Ping Services

Your Wordpress blog has a great feature called Update Services that basically alert a number of blog directories, content aggregators and social media sites whenever your update your blog. This is an extremely useful stuff as your new posts will be reaching millions of web users worldwide much faster than the search engine (search engines spiders will take some more time to crawl & index) route.
