How to judge ourself that what we do using wp-robot is ethical and not scrapping?
@Nihar, if I were to use autoblogging tools, I would use it for probably bringing in affiliate content from amazon, clickbank etc and not to scrape someone’s blog completely. That’s definitely not ethical. But RSS module is only just one of the modules in the pack.

@Udegbunam, what I meant to say is that typical autoblogs are not really spam blogs (splogs) but they use a mix of non-copyright contents (say, product list from amazon, clickbank, youtube videos,..) along with public content from news sites etc. However, one can potentially use it for pure scraping as well which I am not for. I mean, I wouldn’t definitely like somebody building a successful autoblog based on my content only
. But some manually written content + some affiliate marketing content would be the right approach, in my opinion. I must probably rephrase my statement you highlighted to something that I just explained.

I just now think about starting with autoblogging. Actually, the autoblogs, I could meet were very entertaining, interesting, and really kept me away from moving fast, because there were so interesting contents.
I think WP Robot uses not private bloggers RSSs’ but RSS of official big sites, which offer themselves their content to use on other websites. This is with the intention, and this is not stealing. They want it so, we can use these materials with allowance.
But even I, if I submit my blog into RSS Feeds, I do it with the intention that these content will be on other sites too.
Correct me if i am wrong but i believe when you offer you blog RSS Feed then your intention is that your readers will fetch your articles/posts feed into or through a RSS feed aggregator like Google readers or Bloglines etc.. Your intention is not that you are allowing them to publish your articles/post on their blog/website.
What WP robot dose is that it pulls the complete post ( if you have given access to full rss Feed) and publish it on a website under a different author name.
It doesn’t mean i am against WP robot stuff but yes there are so many other things that you can perform with this wonderful plugin.
I like the fact that you can “set it and forget it”. This will fill your posts and categories you choose automatically with products, that you can upload a plugin that automatically creates a sitemap and submits it to search engines every time that you make a change. I also think you should have some creative content, as well, to make it a more interesting blog.
